About the Achi Racov School of Engineering

The main aim of the Achi Racov School of Engineering is to contribute to the development of society and economy in Israel, particularly in the peripheral areas of the Galilee (upper and lower), the Golan Heights, the northern and eastern valleys (Emek HaYarden, Maayanot Valley, Jezreel Valley), the Jordan Valley, and the cities: Tiberias, Beit Shean, Katzrin, Hatzor HaGlilit and Safed, by training engineers in the high-tech fields. High level industry will drive the social and economic development in these areas.
Engineering training includes a strong foundation in the basic and the engineering sciences, acquiring knowledge in the engineering field, with an emphasis on complex and multi-disciplinary systems, and professional-engineering training in engineering projects, in collaboration with industry.
Studies in the B.A. Engineering program also include economic, management and entrepreneurial aspects. The School of Engineering devotes attention to the individual student, to each student’s problems, both academic and socio-economic. This personal assistance and attention, combined with our high-level academic faculty, attracts students from the area as well as from other areas in Israel. After completing their engineering studies students will remain in the northern periphery and contribute to its social and economic development. Young people who study and conduct research over their four years of study at the college, along with their teachers, will comprise the human infrastructure for industrial development in the area, in the hope that investors will follow suit thanks to the engineering workforce.
Close ties with industry are one of the cornerstones of the School. Over the years the School of Engineering developed, and continues to develop, close relations with numerous industries. This relationship is reflected in lecturers from industry, tours in industry, work of students and graduates in industry and final projects conducted in industry.
